Exclamation REALLY Slow Flash Drive
I have a 16GB U3 Cruzer (2.0 speed) that I have bought a couple years ago and all of a sudden it has dropped it's speed dramatically! I can usually copy 800 MB to it in about 15 minutes, but now it says it takes 5-6 Hours! You can see my problem. I have another flash drive (Kingston 4GB) and my iPod and they work at normal Hi-Speed (2.0) speeds. I have tested my 16GB Cruzer at my school and it works at normal speeds there, but not at my house.

The problem seems to be with the connection only between my computer and my 16GB flash drive. What could be wrong? Thanks!

Have you tried a different USB port? I use mine a lot and end up having to replace them every six to twelve months, and I mean I really use it a lot.

15 min seems a long time for 800mb and the five or six hour thing, it's just not worth using it.

Have you done updates lately? do other flash drives have the same problems in that same USB port?
