overheating issue
my toshiba laptop had been running slow ....thought it was because the hard drive was just loaded with media and was filled with infections ....put a new hard drive in but problem is still there when ever i run for example msn games or you tube video for any extended period the the unit gets hot the fan and motor seem to run extra hardand everything slows down on screen.....i keep the comp up off surfaces to let air flow beneath...but still the unit often overheats and shuts down.......any advice would be appreciated.....thanks

clean out the laptop vents
I use a vacuum cleaner - Although that can be a source of static - but not had an issue yet

I normally use compressed air to dust out my laptops.

I also agree compressed Air is a good idea, just need to be careful if you use the tube thats supplied - the pressure can be very very high at the end of that
