My VCR is recording from digital absolutely great then after a while the picture suddenly starts to roll and the screen goes blue. After some minutes of this, it is fine again for a while (even 20 minutes) then starts playing up again.

I've used a head cleaner, I've used old tapes that were previously fine and tried with 2 new tapes, tried fast forward on the new ones to release any tightness - there seems to be no logical pattern and I'm totally at a loss as to what is the problem and what to do next
