Buying a gift and I need help!
Hi, I am looking to buy a desktop base unit as a gift and I am not sure what to get or where to get it. I know he needs a dvd writer and 3 gigs of ram. I don't think the processor has to be top of the line, average/standard will do. It also needs to be future-proof (sp?) He doesn't need massive amounts of memory. Any suggestions? And what do you think the average price will be? Any advice would great!

Way too vague. And there's no such thing as "future-proof". Technology changes and progresses every day.
