is this possible?
Hello, Everyone

I hope you are having a safe and exciting weekend.

I am trying to find out can one purchase and desk top PC with four rewrite CD/DVDs & a cassette player/VHS slots, too. Or I am thinking the impossible computer for a store to sell.

my next thought was trying to discover a way for mentally impair people to communicate with their environment with simple languages or symbols to perform their basic needs. One can be trapped inside their own mind or body but they can relate outside environment. They need something that will aid them in their communications and able to be water proof & easily cleanable, too. Not big or heavy due to the physical impairments may have with the upper extremities. I know impossible again...

My last thoughts...It is a way out of this world. Building a small round hand held computer with sensors and lights sequences. The color of lights will give a message to the receiver the need of the speech impairment individual. For example, a Simon game with four colors and sequences of colors and sounds for players to repeat. This one will be adapted and more technical and precise for everyone to understand the needs.

Okay....I will give everyone a break....I do have one more...As medical student ...I am looking for a computer with the PDA, Ipod Touch, Medical programs, designs of anatomy, surgical videos, and etc. I want it in a laptop and able to take notes as the professor is speaking and I can concentrate on the lectures. Instead of, playing catch up note taker like always do and not paying attention to the lecture. In addition, I can load charts of the anatomy of the body and models in 3D, etc which I can view anywhere than the stinky lab or library (the library is the largest social gathering and hook up place for students and the loudest place too.).

In conclusion, is there anyone can help me with these extraordinary thoughts, which I believe are normal thoughts for me. Any takers, it would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

Well, I've never seen a VHS player for a computer, I think the demand for that would be very low.

Hello, John

Thank you for responding to my post. I just heard VHS tapes will deteriorate over time. I was saving my collections of famous singers and they never been open and someone told they will not be any good. They will be gone. I would be disappointed if that happens. I still have records and 45s of groups and they are still in the cover unwrapped. I placed them in an airtight container and safe. Thank you, John.

You can connect your VHS player to a video capture card and copy those recordings to the computer, they can then be burned to CD/DVD disks or archived on hard disks.

Hello, John

Thank you for the responding to my post. John, excuse me for my ignorance and I do not know or never heard of and seen a video capture card. Could you please explain a little more about them? I will google too and try to find out where to purchase them and how to use them. Do I need a special machine? Please let me know.

Thank you, very much for expanding my knowledge.

Hello, John
Thank you for responding to my post. Okay, I see it and here is the next question John...as I am laughing...where do I place it? It must be easy to place it in. The shape seem to simple and must onto an eternal drive to the the vhs/cdr machine...nah. I must clip onto a VHS only machine in the back and play the movie and it will record it. So, the speed will be slow for recording due to watching all of the movies, i am thinking? I am guessing..

Thank you for all of your assistance today and tonight.

John, you are a blessing and Thank you...

That particular one is stuck into an expansion slot in a desktop computer. Here's a typical USB one that is suitable for desktops or laptops: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...Tab=11&NoMapp=
