added shortcuts to cd
My daughters friend gave her a cd with some files on it and when she viewed the files on our desktop, there were shortcuts on the cd to our turbotax files that are on our machine. I put the cd in my laptop, which also has our tax files, and the shortcuts were gone. I know that these files are not on the cd but how and why did they appear when the cd is in my desktop?

Shortcuts are files. Unless you're writing those files to the disk, they're not there. You must be looking at another part of the Windows Explorer interface. Post a screen shot showing where you see these files on the disk.
