Since today, whenever I play a video in fullscreen, it starts to lag. It lags every two/three minutes. This happens with downloaded videos, or when I'm watching a video online. Sound continues normally, but the video slows down. I also noticed that at the same time, CPU usage for all of my CPUs (I have a quad core) peaks. If I move the mouse, the video I am playing returns to its normal speed. Any help on what the problem might be?

EDIT: I also noticed that when this happens, the Firewall is turned off and I get a message from the Action Center to turn it on.

RAM: 2GB
CPU: Quadcore 2.66 Ghz
Windows 7 64-bit

I also think that the System Idle Process is still there, although I can't be sure.

You will be better served if you include your complete computer specs incl the os, and what softwares you are using to view the videos.

That computer has a quad core processor and is running Windows 7(64-bit), but you're hobbling its performance and speed by having only 2 GB of RAM in it. You need to add at least another 2 GB.

You didn't provide any information on that computer's graphics.
