Scanner problem
I am not sure if this is the right place for my question but I try anyway.

I have a scanner Visioneer One Touch 5820 USB installed on my computer ( Windows XP )
The scanner software is properly installed, the power is on and the scanner USB cable attached.

When booting the computer I get two messages:

1) Finding scanner and then
2) Unable to connect with scanner

What causes this message and how do I correct it ?

When starting the scanner by pressing TWAIN the following messages show:

1) Scanner is not found, make sure that
- Power adapter is connected.( which is the case )
- USB cable connected ( which is the case )
- Check that USB setting is enable in BIOS.
Not sure how to check that.

Is anybody able to give me a hint as to solve the problem ?

Very much appreciated

Is the scanner properly recognized by Windows? What is the scanner status in Device Manager? During the software installation, it will typically check for the hardware and perform a test. Were there any errors during the software installation?
