hi my pc keeps restarting with i install realtek AC,97 sound driver,
and soundMAX wont install ether because the driver files are not compatible

Did you install the VIA 4-in-1 chipset drivers first, before trying the Soundmax drivers?

And remember to get drivers only from your laptop/PC maker's website, not from the device manufacturer.
