No Sound On Youtube, Other Video Sites..etc...
I really need some help here. For some reason, when I play videos or flash on Youtube or any other video sites...the video will play...BUT THERE IS NO SOUND! This is getting increasingly annoying for me as the sound works when it comes to general windows noises,mp3's on Windows Media Player,CD's and Dvds. I'm totally confused at whats going on and I would be grateful for some help!

Here here... All of a sudden for some reason i have no sound in internet explorer. Also my window sounds no longer work. I've searched the web far and wide, this web site as well. Sound is fine for games or Windows media player but not from the web or windows system sounds like the start up tone. Is this a windows issue? OH running XP SP2 btw

I had the same problem for months and tried numerous fixes. This worked:
Copy everything below the line and save it in Notepad with a .reg extension (e.g.: fix.reg) to My Documents.
Open up My Computer, find the file and double-click on it. That will add it to the registry. If you would feel safer about editing the registry, before you start, create a restore point on your PC, so you could go back if needed. I did not, had no problems..... ****************** __________________________________________________________________________

Before posting you must give the OS and the Internet Browser you are using. There are problems when some browser support sound for some webpages and some may not.
Try using a different browser. And if the problem again prevails then there might be a Plugin problems. Look for proper Plugins for a particular Browser for Sound as well as Video support.
