Angry Problem playing smart sound in pinnacle studio
Hi all,
I can not use smart sound in pinnacle studio 9.4.3 it always worked and this time in my new video edit it does some strange things.
!. I select the sound of my choice.
2. I select the preview button. It immediately jumps to stop preview and takes out the option to add it to my editing process.
3. When I push add to video it takes the music to the music time line, but makes no sound.

Remedial trials.
1. I have removed the total pinnacle studio program and reinstalled... big job!
2. I have tried the pinnacle forum and support. No joy. these guys are so long winded it is unreal. I have been on with them for 2 weeks now, I am still at the filling in forms stage, haven't got to ask my question as yet.
3. This is truly a desperation call for help. I have 2 videos ready for rendering and can not go ahead because my Smart sound does not play.

When you uninstalled did you start with the content DVD if that was installed? I found the Smart sound in Studio 9 to be problematic along with a lot of things in 9 (11 is much better).

At some point there is supposed to be an option in the uninstall to get rid of the smart sound stuff too or leave it if you're upgrading but I don't remember if that worked correctly in 9. If you did uninstall the smart sound parts as well before reinstalling I don't know, otherwise you might try that whole arduous loop again and make sure Smart sound is removed before reinstalling.

Its no consolation but version 9 is probably the lowpoint in the Pinnacle Studio software (maybe 8 was worse) program so if you use it a lot, you should consider upgrading.
