Ipod Playlist Renaming
I have a problem with my iPod. I have a Volvo car and can connect the iPod to the radio as if it was a CD changer. It plays the first nine playlists as if they were CDs on the CD changer.
In order to play something else I need to rename the playlists so that others are in the first nine places. I can only do this using iTunes currently. Can I do the changes from the iPod or is it only possible from iTunes?.
Further is it possible to set up the playlist names in batches of nine so that each batch can be selected as required?.[/font]

as far as I know, you'll have to decide what music you want to hear before you drive off, and then do the selections on itunes. Ipod, as you realize, will play everything into your ear that's on it by headphone, but your car radio resp. CD changer is limited. It basically thinks it's playing CDs (MP3 or 4 etc.) and will work in accordance within a limited number of folder and files that it can take, going by the respective preference layer in that they're stored on yur ipod (It treats ipod as a CD oras CDs wit the changer). Playlists in batches of nine will only work to the point where your Volvo has reached max.count. Say from x onwards it won't read beyond. I've got the same problem and short of getting a car radio with. say a USB input, BUT ALSO the same GB space as the ipod so that they are identical in capacity, I decided to make advance plans for the music I want to hear on the upcoming journey.
