Flipping (mirroring) a video - lag in the output file
I'm a newbie at video edition, and I'm trying to horizontally flip the video image of a 200MB .avi file, so everything in the video appears mirrored (right <-> left). If I do this in Blaze Media Pro, save the output as a new .avi file, and play it in Windows Media Player, the video lags and the sound gets ahead of it. If I do it in VirtualDub 1.8.1 and play the output .avi file in Windows Media Player, the sound lags with the video, plus the output file is a whopping 5 gigabytes. I would like to know

1) why I can't accomplish this simple task with these programs that claim to be able to do it?

2) what I can do to accomplish this simple task?
