Automatic Volume control wanted for playing AVI files
I'm running windows vista on a laptop, I have AVI files on both the internal and an external hard drives, I play these using VLC media player as it best suits my needs. As some of the AVI files are prerecorded at different levels I really need to control the output level before the Audio gets to the PA. I use the head phone socket as my line out from the computer. I have seen a programme on the net called Auto Volume contol 2.1 but it looks like it dosen't support vista and requires a sound card with Audio in's and out, this would be for if I was using an external CD player or another source, I'm not bringing another line in source. Any Ideas anyone!!!!!!
