Super! help
I am trying to get a movie I just ripped to play on my Zune. I have one big VOB file (about 6.33GB), which I ripped in the IFO mode of DVD decrypter. I then tried to convert it to Zune - WMV using SUPER July 8th, 2008 build. I set the video frame rate for 25 fps, 4:3 aspect ratio, and 672 kbps bit rate; 64 kbps audio, 2 channel. direct show decode unchecked, Hi-Quality and 48k audio checked.

I let the program run for about 3 hours, and it said 'Parsing Input File' with one of the green progress bars filled up. At about that time, it stopped and said I had an error. I did not click the Error button because I had already read the generic error message (which is rather annoying).

My real reason for posting this is narrowing down what the problem really is. I suspect it is the CPU, and the core clock speed doesn't measure up to the spec. I have an Intel T2050 at 1600 GHz with 1 GB of shared memory. I know the spec for SUPER is 1800, but I have been able to encode smaller files before hand.

In conclusion to this novel , I would like to confirm that the reason I cannot encode huge files is because of my relatively slow processor, and any tips on other software to use instead for encoding large video files for the Zune.

Thanks!

We cannot assist you with this, please refer to our rules:

Quote:
Circumventing Copy Protection - While we believe it's reasonable to make backup copies of CDs and DVDs that you own, a lot of people break copy protection for the wrong reasons. The law is still vague, at best, as to if it is legal to break copy protection in order to make such a backup, even for personal use. (The DMCA, for example, seems to make it illegal.) As a result, we do not allow discussion of how to break copy protection at this time. If we can find a nice way to draw the line, we may reconsider this in the future as laws get sorted out
