No Audio and video problems
Hi folks
I have a Presario C502A Notebook and it runs ok except 1 problem that has been ongoing for most of the year. I have absolutley no audio at all and trouble watching video as well.

In the past I have simply used my system restore point to get things going again but all of a sudden my system restore points have vanished so there's no way of turning back the clock this time. I have looked through lots of forums, reinstalled drivers, installed the codec packs and apparently my audio and video devices are operating normally(according to the control panel)...well they're not.

Streaming videos (youtube etc.) just gives me a stuttered like picture. It's almost a strobe effect like Im watching the video in a nightclub. Even if I wait for the video to fully download it will not playback smoothly, still skips like almost watching a slide show. And of course there's absolutely no audio. I dont even get the 'welcome to windows vista' tingle when i boot-up.

If Im watching a video (through WMP) I've saved to the hard drive it will play for 4 seconds or so and then freeze. The cursor will contine to move along but the video will not. Again, no audio.

Would love to hear from anyone with an idea on this most frustrating problem.

Thanks guys!
