Help needed with iTunes 8
So, I upgraded to iTunes 8 and I like the album/artist/genre browser. When I view my music library in either album or genre views, nothing happens when I click "Play album" or "Play genre" when I move the mouse over the album or genre I want to play.

If I'm playing a CD or something, that music will stop and nothing else will play. I've seen that same behavior described here but I can't get the album to play whereas in that thread someone indicated "play album" works for them.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

EDIT: I'm on Windows XP Pro (SP2).

Peace...

Hi,
If I understand your concern, at the top of the itunes bar, there's the "file, edit, view, controls, etc..." Click on "view" and select "as list" this will set the music library to its older interface.. Try that and see if that fixes it.

Thanks

Yep, that did the trick. I was hoping to find out what's up with the new interface not working like this but I guess it's a buglet of some kind.

Thanks!

Peace...

I was at a friend's house and upgraded her iTunes software to version 8 and she didn't have the problem I described above. She also has an iTunes store account and has purchased music from iTunes, something I have never done.

Maybe it's related to either having an iTunes store account or playing music purchased through iTunes or something.

Peace...
