No Sound On YouTube - Only The Video Works
Windows XP
Internet Explorere

The sound abruptly stopped working on YouTube for me. I have tried other website's that use Flash and I don't get any sound there either. I visited many many sites on this subject and have tried about every single thing that was reccommended. I have been trying to resolve this all weekend.

On sugesstion was to go to APPLICATIONS - UTILITIES and make sure it is set for 41000 hz. However, I don't know where that folder is.

Nothing seems to work.

I appreciate that tip! However, I don't think it's going to solve the problem I have (unless that program does diagnosis on Flash problems.) My Windows Media Player works though - I can hear sound on that.

I cannot hear sound on other websites either. I have un-installed and re-installed and system restored and every other little thing I could come across on the net - it appears many otehrs have had this issue but it also seems like there is no single one solution.
