Internet Sound Not Working

I have recently bought a new computer that runs Vista and the sound does not work on the internet.

I thought it may have been the speakers so we had them replaced but it still doesnt work.

The sounds works with every other program on the computer however when trying to watch YouTube videos it either plays extremely softly, plays the sound effects (music, laughter etc) really loudly or has a lot of ambience noise in the background.

If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Do you have the latest Flash Player 10?

I have installed Flash Player 10 but it still isnt working.
