Some of my default "program event" sound options have vanished.
All the event sound files are there but the options to set them in the "program event" tab has vanished.. i.e. Windows start up, windows shut down and outlook express options.
How do I get all the default options back ??

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key: HKEY_USERS. If it doesn't have a Data entry in the right pane that reads: (value not set), right-click (Default) and delete it. If it does, check your HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21 keys for the same.

Thanks but maybe the enclosed pic will give you a better idea of what I mean.
Its just SOME of the "program event" headings that have gone missing.. Like the Windows Start & Shut down.. the Recycle bin empty.. all the Outlook Express ones.
I just cant figure out how some of the headings have gone and yet others are still showing ??
