Question External Monitor won't Show DVD Movies Properly
I have an Asus laptop (X83vb-x1 Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0ghz 4gb 250gb) with Vista Home Premium 64 and have purchased a 22" external monitor (AOC Envision L22W861) to facilitate movie watching, however, there's an issue. When I attempt to play DVD movies on my external monitor, the movie itself will show up very very light - almost white - on the external monitor, even though the rest of the screen shows up properly. If I play the movie on the laptop monitor, there is no issue. I use Windows Media Player, and have also tried VLC with no luck.

Does anyone know how I might fix this? Thank you!

Screen setting
Most of the laptop computers have to have the fn key with another key like one of the function keys pressed in order to recognize the other monitor.

No, there's no problem recognizing the monitor. I browse the internet, play PC games, everything - no problem. It's just when I play a DVD on the external monitor, just the DVD itself will show up pale white. Here's a link to the screen shot below. The top image is the DVD playing on my external monitor, and the bottom is a screen shot of the extended desktop, with the DVD playing on my laptop monitor (on the right).
