#12 | In Control Panel click on "Sounds and Audio Devices". Then click on the "Audio" tab. Now click on the button that says "Volume" under "Sound Recording" and a box will pop up where you make your selection. Also make sure the slider for the volume is up. If line in is not one of the options then click on the "Options" button then "Properties" and make sure it's ticked. | | Senior Member with 128 posts. | | |

#14 | I did this a few years ago, using an old sony walkman, used a splitter (available at Radio shack) and plugged in headphones with the cable on the other port on the splitter, before it was put into the computer microphone port. Worked great for us.
Later burned the music to cds. All this done with Audacity.
