Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to check this out for me. I made a video for the purpose of contributing to a fansite I belong to, holding the theme of the site. I put a lot of hard work into it, and I'm really pleased with how it came out. However, I apparently used a song by a band that has copyright restrictions preventing their songs from being used in videos made by people like me (youtube and veoh users and stuff). Thats all good and fine though, I understand.
So all I'm asking is if there might be a way that I can privately share the video with a friend in England who belongs to the fansite's community. Just that one friend, no one else. There should'nt be any fuss that way, right? It's basically the equivilent of showing them the video in person, right here in front of my desk (sort of, just in the fact that it only is seen by two friends who know they don't own the material...) So legally that sort of thing should check out, right?
I don't know squat about hosts for this stuff, so please, if you have any advice, keep in mind that I dont really have any experience here. If I have to upload it to a format that can only be downloaded into a file on their comp and viewed through Windows media player, that's better than nothing. Thing is, I'm cool with this guy, but we're just online friends. Im not sure he trusts me quite enough to download a file I show him... Better than nothing though.
Oh, but before I forget, if it is possible in the last method I mentioned, a download, is there a way I can insure the host site doesnt infect the file itself? If it can be done without any downloading though ("downloading" may be a broad term, but I think you know what I mean) that would be great. Sorry if this is really confusing.
Thanks very much!
