Free CD Burning software.
Thank you for reply.
I have downloaded this programme, and I am sure it is good. But after downloading I find that
it only allows me to burn a limited number of discs before registering and paying, and it is an annual subscription, or very expensive for non-subscription. I am not really looking for such an extensive programme. Just simple CD Burning.
Allan.

Are you sure you downloaded the right program because imgburn is entirely free, although they do accept donations.

Nowhere on the website is there anything about purchasing or even registering.

Free CD Burning software.
Thank you

You are absolutely right! I do not know how it happened, but I clicked on your link and I got AVS4U. I must have done something wrong. I will de-install and start again, but it will be later. I have to leave it for the moment. Allan

Nor have I ever heard of any limitations to that software.

Did you download from the link I provided earlier or elsewhere?

Free CD Burning software.
I very nearly did the same again. The Download Box facing me on the imgburn site is for downloading AVS4U. Anyway, I have not succeeded in downloading imgburn. When I click on the CD burning link, I get a large box to do with languages, which I do not need, and I cannot get past that. Any simpler sites even if I have to pay a reasonable price? Allan.

I`ve had good luck with Ashampoo`s free burning software, found here:http://download.cnet.com/Ashampoo-Bu...-10776287.html

This site is easy to download from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ImgBurn.html

You could also try CDBurnerXP.

Ashampoo free is also good.

http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

Mirrors, at top of page, above the language translation part.

I provided other link to main page so that you could read about it before deciding to download it.

I second RootbeaR's recommendation of ImgBurn, it is written by LightingUK who also wrote DVD Decrypter years ago, his software is top-notch, here is a direct link: http://fileforum.betanews.com/downlo...n/1128426215/1

Free CD Burning software.
Thank you all for help. I have installed both Imgburn and Ashamboo, and I am working towards familiarising myself with these. With Ashamboo, I have no problems, and the burned CDs are excellent quality. The discs burned with Imgburn play on my computer but so far I have not managed to burn discs that will play on an ordinary CD player. What am I doing wrong? Allan.

My apologies it seems that ImgBurn does not support converting audio files to CDA (CD Audio) ready for playback in a standalone player, you can use Ashampoo/Nero/WMP for that. However it does support CDFS (Compact Disc File System) and UDF (Universal Disc Format) so it's good for anything else

Free CD Burning software.
Thank you, I will remove Imgburn and happily continue with Ashamboo. Allan.
