How to make an avi file smaller?
I made a file on i-movie that is 8.5mgb, it needs to be 5mgb. Can any one recommend an easy way (dummies guide) to make the file smaller on a mac either by compressing or changing the file type?
Thanks for your help!

There's no easy way to make it smaller unless you convert it to another format, they're already compressed.
Here's a few options...

Well there are certain ways of decreasing the file size. If you want to play that avi file only on your pc then you can convert them with (Easy RealMedia Tools)RVMV converter.. its will save a hole lot of space..

You can try
http://www.dominoconverter.com/video-converter-pro.html
.
I always use it to convert my AVI files to smaller formats. Domino is very easy to use. Just click one button, the conversion can be finished in a short time. The output video is very clear to watch.
