Low volume after DVD conversion with WinAvi 7.7 & 8.0
Hi,

Any body have any idea why my conversion to DVD from AVI. or MPEG 4 or MKV produces lower volume using WinAVI 7.7 & 8.0? The difference is on the computer and the DVD. Doesn't matter what the source audio is.

Their technical help is brutal. I think they don't even know how to use their own software. They told me to turn up the volume under 'Adjustment' on 8.0. Did nothing at all. 7.7 told me to reinstall.

I use Ringz Studio 'Storm Codec 7'. A program that has various codecs within it. Very pleased as I can play anything

xpsp3
Intel 3.0 gig
1 gig ddr400 RAM.

Thanks.

Many programs do come with audio boosting settings, or something like the AC3 filter does all on its own when converting, as audio reduction is otherwise quite common and needs to be compensated for.

Never having used the programs mentioned though, I can't specify what to do exactly or if it indeed does have an effect, which you indicated might not be the case. DVDFlick for instance has an audio boost setting and it works well.
