yep no sound n no device detected,, yes i reformatted n dont think win xp gone on right,, my neighbor did it,, due to bad economy i couldnt take it to a rreal tech,, GUITLY I AM !!!

hopefully this will help,, everest n belarc gave me sum info on my mother board n multimedia specs, hopefully i can get a link were to go n get the driver, download it n have sound!

pls help me o great ones !!!!!

When you go into device manager, is there anything there with a yellow triangle with a ! or? in it?
To access device manager, you can right click on My Computer select properties, hardware, device manager.
