Hi all. Please go easy on me, I'm new and technologically dim. Firstly, an apology: I know it's bad form but I posted this question on the Windows board (told you I'm dim) first. It's fallen off the radar so I'm daring to put it here.
I have QuickTime, according to the progams listed on my computer.
Each time I sign on (broadband, Windows XP, AOL), I receive a message that says "QuickTime application is not currently installed on your computer which means you may not be able to play certain music and video files using QuickTime formats. Would you like to install it now?"
If I click Install, a message says this may take several moments but nothing further happens. If I ignore it, there's no problem but the message is starting to annoy the heck out of me. I tried uninstalling QuickTime and then clicking Install, but I'm still gettng that message.
Second apology: originally I tried a Search for this and found something similar but now I'm registered and logged on, I can't find that thread at all.
Could anyone point me in the right direction of either getting rid of the message or installing the bit of software I may - or may not - need?
Many thanks
