y daughters SA5245 (4gb)does not get recognized by laptop when connected. It used to, but not any more. Doesn't come up on My Computer either. Tried reset, factory reset, downloaded updates etc but no go. Philips device manager doesn't even know its there. Tried Philips support (or lack of) and they said go to My Computer & click on the icon - there is no icon to click!!!
My son has a similar SA31 series - his still works fine & is recognized ok.
Any wonderful people out there with ideas? Many Thanks.

Have just downloaded Windows Media Player 11 - able to sync from there to the sa5245 - now appears on My Computer - philips device manager recognized it as well - but little green thing on bottom taskbar still doesn't show that it is connected. Will play with a bit to make sure it stays working.
