Can I play DVD RAM on my computer?
Hi
My DVD recorder (Panasonic) uses DVD RAM discs. It would be handy if I could play these on my computer. Explorer says files are .VRO but my copy of XP will not play them
Is there a problem with my copy of XP or do I simply not have the appropriate software?
If the latter can anyone suggest suitable programs.
Regards
phil

Hi peck1234
Thank you for your suggestion.
I am not sure if you are questioning the effectiveness of my hardware or of my software. I am pretty sure that it is not hardware as the computer is fitted with 2 dual layer read/write CD/DVD machines.
I have had problems with my copy of Windows and wondered if I was missing a component or whether I will have to look for additional software.
regards
phil

Hi again peck
I have run the link you suggested but it did not help me much.
It tells me that my drives support READ for most forms of DVD and CD but do not support WRITE for anything. This is patently not true as I can happily write music and data to CD and create DVDs playable on my DVD machines as well as on the computer.
Have you any other suggestions?
regards
phil
