plz help
i am havin trouble burnin cds i have it set on the it set on the slowest settin and it still only burns part of the songs i selected

1. Firmware Update for your cd/dvd drive www.firmwarehq.com

2. Do not burn cds at slowest setting burn at max and see if results change...

3. The second you click "burn" in whatever program your using DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPUTER.... let the process finish....

4. Buy good media such as verbatim, or ridata cds... NOT MEMOREX!

right click my computer, go to properties, device manger, cd/dvd drive, right click the drive, then properties

it say dvd-rw dvr-k17lf ata device but its in caps

unforchantly your dvd drive is OEM and does not contain any firmware updates or support...

Seems others are having the same trouble as you with this drive... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/625589


It's been confirmed to be a media problem... What kind of blanks are you using?

Upgrading to Verbatim media will more than likely solve your issue...

You can try the other steps I stated above such as burning at max speed and leaving your computer alone during the burn. These may help... but it wont produce quality burns...
