Depends on what you're trying to do.
But there's been another Topic here at TSG where we make them for someone.
I've read that pasting on a label is not a good idea.
It can make the DVD out of balance .. And there's been reports that it can come loose and jam up the player.

I do have access to a DVD burner with light scribe, guess that still wouldn't be much help getting the picture from the top of the original DVD......... | | Distinguished Member with 12,144 posts. | | Join Date: May 2005 Location: Kokomo, IN Experience: More Input Please | | Light Scribe never really impressed me ... Only one funny color ???
If you're scanning a DVD .. You should be able to just print it.
If you're taking a picture and trying to make it round with a hole ... That can get tricky.
I can print to a printable DVD ... But can't figure out how to make it water proof .. one drop or wet finger and it's destroyed.

I don't trust HP software, so I never installed it .. I wonder if something like that would help you ??? | | Senior Member with 165 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Out there somewhere Experience: Been around the block | | What I've been doing now, is just printing a copy and cutting out the circle, and putting it into a cd sleeve. I just thought that there should be an easy way to get it printed onto the actual DVD, or stuck to the DVD somehow, but, maybe not. The disks I have aren't the ones without printing, they have the DVD+R etc. on the top.
Maybe I'll just punt and live with things the way they are. Sounds like too much work for no return other than "frilly" looks
Thanks again!!!!!
I'll close this out as solved enough for me!
Have a great day!

I ask him what label software he uses .. He said a Felt Tip marker .. With a grin.
I've seen his huge collection and I know he prints a square picture for the DVD case. Irfanview can do the sizing and cropping easily for square pictures.

I have pretty much just been printing the dvd case from the original copy, printing it in color.
Seems to work
Thanks again for your continued assistance. You do KNOW that Thursday is National Cat Day, right? http://www.petcentric.com/Stories/Ar...C-PETC-Oct09_1
