Post How to make an interactice DVD
Hello guys,
I am trying to make an interactive DVD, where I just need simple task done. Like I just need to be able to put a background picture ,on the first menu, one I make. Then I just need a menu where I have 4-5 options to click , like they just have to be something like : background , goals , vision and something else ( lol the thing slips my mind ) .
Then when I click one of the options it takes me to a presentation. I'll probably make the presentation on power point and try to export it as a Mp4 ( if that possible =/ ) Or on anything better you guys can suggest. The main menu options , they just have to be a picture and text , i don't want a runing movie.
And if ..if ...if its possible another set of option buttons after the first set of options.
Basically its just a little project where I want to be able to give to someone , and from their they can see my profile... a kind of digital resume.
I currently have a Toshiba laptop , 2 Gb Ram , opertaiong using Vista home prenium , I have softwares like Sony Vegas ( somewhere ), and PS cs3 and of course windows office.
I would really really appericate the help , like I would be so so so grateful .
btw. I am not a complete noob ( even though my desperate message makes it look like it ) so you guys don't have to worry about writing the smallest detail of instructions =D

Adobe encore is one program that you can use to do the menu's and disc, its best that you have adobe photoshop aswell. There is probably other software you can use to do the menu's but encore is the only one ive used.

I can give a basic how-to if you require it for adobe encore, just say and ill try and remember all the steps.

once you get more knowledge and want to make more/better dvd menu's in the future, you will be able to create the menus with photoshop before even importing them to encore.

inregards to the presentation, i haven't tried it in with powerpoint turning it into a mp4, but you can always use a video editing program like vegas and create a movie of the presentation slides, and have them being shown for say 10secs a slide or however you think is require to read each slide ect. and just make it a video. we were also tought to do picture albums with encore that would tick through pictures, but i haven't done that before, but know you can.

There's probably something else out there that costs a bit less than $800 (unless you already have the software). I would suggest waiting for a few more opinions.
