Exclamation Sound problem.
Hi,

I recently installed windows 7 ultimate edition on my computer. after that, i was having problems with the audio playback having a low volume and some parts of a song being at lower volumes( bass too high, treble low etc etc).
This was because i hadnt installed an audio driver for my sound card that had come bundled with my computer. So i installed the driver (Realtek HD Audio Manager) but a new problem has surfaced. ANY audio that i play, whether it be a song, movie, a windows alert, msn beep, they are all accompanied by a fuzzy sound. I do not know how to describe the sound, its like a buzz that accompanies any sound playback on my computer. I have tried everything, re-installed the driver from the official website (www.realtek.com.tw), nothing seems to work. If i uninstall the driver, the fuzzy disturbance disappears but we all know what happens when we dont have a sound driver installed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I was also wondering if you can install another Sound driver, or is it that you are stuck with the one that comes bundled by your OEM ?

Such noises can be caused by having other equipment near your PC that will interfere with it such as phones, printers, power supplied. Try moving other equipment away from your computer and check to see if the audio improves.

no, there is no such interference that could cause this problem. i have removed the only electric equipment in my room i.e. my cordless telephone and things still arent improving. thanks

that was an insightful thread but i still can get nowhere with my issues. i can definitely tell that the issue is with REALTEK, and its seeming incompatibility with windows 7.
