Solved: Windows Movie Maker green line
Hello everyone!

For the past few weeks, I have been facing a problem when trying to publish a movie on windows movie maker. Whenever a new movie is ready, the bottom half of any media player is covered with a thick green line, while the actual movie is squeezed in the upper half.

I am not sure if this is what caused the problem, but the line started to appear when I installed the new version of movie maker, the Windows Live Movie Maker to check it out. However, I uninstalled it and the problem persists, therefore I cannot tell what the actual problem is.

If anyone has similar experience or knows how to fix this issue, please let me know.

Thanks!

That is typically caused by a codec issue. It's likely that the new Movie Maker had something in it that didn't play well with your system. Your best bet would be to use system restore to roll your system back to before the isntall. Otherwise you can try downloading the older movie maker and installling it over the existing one.
