Transfering video from a mini dv camcorder to a pc via firewire
Well I'm getting a Canon GL1 really soon, and I know it's a mini dv camcorder. I used a hdd camcorder before and all i had to do was plug it in the usb port. But the Canon gl1 has a firewire port which is much better then a usb. Only thing is I've never used firewire before. So I don't know how to/what to do to transfer the footage from the GL1 to my pc (runs windows vista home premium). I would like to know the step by step proccess and if i need to get anything in order to do so.
