Speakers crack only when using line in or Youtube
I have recently run into an issue upon upgrading to Windows 7. The satellite speakers of my Edifier 2.1 sound system have begun to crack whenever the bass hits while I am either playing my electronic drum kit through the line-in jack of my sound card or watching videos on Youtube. While playing music through Windows Media Player, there is no issue and this is what has me stumped. It seems as if the crossovers that are built into the amplifier - which itself is built into the subwoofer - are somehow failing, but only in situations that involve direct line-in audio or videos on Youtube. This isn't a major problem but it gets quite annoying if I have the volume at any significant level. Any help/input would be greatly appreciated.
