Solved: DirectX audio problem
So my pastor has this program called Bible Explorer 4. In it is a Greek speaking dictionary. When you play one of the words it just makes an awful garbled sound and displays an error about initializing directx. I have made sure he has the latest directx runtime.

I have this program on my computer as does another friend of mine. All running Windows XP SP3 and my pastor's is the only one that does not work.

Here is a link to the dxdiag log.

Is the version of DirectX you have supported by the software maybe the software needs a different version?

All 3 computers have the same version of DirectX and all have XP SP3, this is the only one that does not work.

It turns out Roxio Easy CD Creator caused a problem with this program. Then again, what program doesn't Roxio cause problems with.
