Question Blu-ray and Windows 7
Hello dudes.
Well, i'll write my entire problem since the begin.

I have a Sony Laptop VGN-AW310J...
Its specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 @ 2.1Ghz
4GB RAM (2 x 2GB)
Blu-ray drive
Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT

Those are the specs u guys need to know.
It came with windows vista, but then i decided to install Windows 7.
Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits on it.
Everything worked awesome. Had problems with only some drivers, but not much.
Then i found out that i wasn't being able to install the newest display driver.
It was picking up one from windows update...
but i saw it was signed, and tought: "Okay, i won't have any trouble".

Then the trouble started...i wasn't able to play ANY blu-ray discs.
PowerDVD said "incompatible graphics driver".
Cyberlink BD Advisor said everything was okay, 100%.

Then i googled a bit...and found out i needed a modded inf to install the driver.
Got the modded inf and a driver newert than nvidia's site from laptopvideo2go.com

Okay, after doing that got the driver installed.
BD Advisor now says my card and the laptop's display aren't compatible.

I haven't tried a BD-Disc since then, i plan to give the laptop back to my costumer today and pray that it will play blu-ray discs.
My question is...WILL IT PLAY for god's sake ?
I'm considering install Windows XP in order to get things working.

I couldn't expect all those problems.
Now the driver isn't digitally signed, but...its the newest one.
And BD Advisor says it isn't HDCP Compliant...

I really don't know what to think, shall i try other version, or other software who could solve my problem.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the bad-english.

No, there wasn't any problem with the laptop when we received it.
Also i generated backup discs.

The deal is: He had Windows Vista Home Premium, and i know he would have problems with it (based on the stuff he uses also os resources).

Then i did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate , and everything gone fine.
Just had some problems with the card-reader if i'm not mistaken, but i got a driver from dell who fixed the problem.

Now the big deal is this Windows 7 vs Blu ray...
Dunno what to do. Today i'll test another blu-ray disc, but i'm mistaken since BD Advisor says the graphic card & display aren't compatible (btw they are).
I was thinking about XP mostly because i need some compatiblity. I don't wanna go back to Vista, really...i don't like Vista.

Any idea ?
Thanks.

Erhm
Not genuine, but everything working in those terms.
Windows is activacted, all other software is activacted too.

I installed the same DVD i use at home and really no problems related to software license.

Okay, lemme clarify.
I used the same DVD, but different keys.
Just the DVD is the same. The key is another.

In home i have my Windows 7 installed with one key
To this customer, i installed the same Windows 7 version, but with another key. Got the point ?

In both cases everything is valid and working 100%.
But i only have problems on this laptop.
I'm thinking it would be a incompatiblity with the x64 system ?
