lost files
I am using Windows XP

I was moving some file folders to my CD using explorer. The files did not write to CD and were gone from explorer. I have run a search for file and they are not to be found. Is there any way of restoring the files?
Thanks, Jean Pannell

In Windows Explorer go to Tools > Folder Options > View tab, click on "Show hidden files and folders" then Apply and hit OK.

Then look for the files in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning

Thanks for the suggestion for finding files during CD burning...but I did not find them. Any other ideas.

Thanks, Jean

Sending some files to a CD shouldn't delete the files, try doing some more searches.

If they did end up in the Recycle Bin and you emptied it, try a data recovery program like Recuva.
