Exclamation Flash videos won't play, at all.
Hello everyone, first time poster here.

Anyways here is my problem: My system will not play any Flash videos. I have tried playing them in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

I have had this computer since Christmas and has worked flawlessly up until now.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled all the browsers and the various Flash updates and software. Still nothing.

Is this a problem with my computer, browsers or the Flash software?

Thank everyone in advance, I'll do my best to clarify anything.

What happens when you try to play flash videos? Does an error come up? Is it just an empty window?

Well usually the video will attempt to load and then the browser, not my computer will freeze up. I can then just close the browser.

Depending on what browser I'm on, it will either just freeze (IE or FF)

or give me a message that says "The following plug-in is unresponsive: Shockwave Flash Would you like to stop it?" Which only happens in Google Chrome.

Have you used the Official Uninstaller to uninstall it?

Yea I've tried uninstalling and everything. The weird thing is this hasn't happened before. When I first got it it would play flash videos fine. My father also has the exact same laptop (64-bit and everything) and he doesn't have this problem.

I've had this exact same issue since last night. Every time I try to watch a video in my browser, it'll freeze while loading. The entire browser will then freeze on me, and I'll have to close it. If someone could help ASAP, I think the OP and I would both appreciate it tremendously.

These programs should be installed in your computer:

Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 10.0.42.34 (for Internet Explorer)

Adobe Flash Player Plug-in 10.0.42.34 (for Firefox and other non-IE browsers)

Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.18

If you have older versions currently installed, uninstall them first, then install the new versions.

If you're using Internet Explorer, go to Tools - Internet Options - Security, then change all 4 zones to "default level", then apply the change, then close and reopen Internet Explorer.
