Problem with MKV files
For some reason whenever I watch some, not all, MKV files, it'll freeze my computer for maybe 10~20 seconds before it'll start. Afterward I won't have any problems watching an MKV file until I restart my computer. I never had this problem half a year ago, I scanned my computer for spyware and viruses and none came up, so I don't think that's the problem. Does anyone know what the problem is? *I have CCCP installed and using Media Player Classic to play the file

Have you changed anything to do with your hard drive lately? It could need a defrag.
Also have you downloaded the latest version of either CCCP or Klite codec packs (both use Media Player Classic).
I recommend you unistall any old video codec packs before installing the new one.

See if this helps.

@maha22 -
I don't know why your talking about PS3 video formats when OP didn't mention a PS3...

Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, same thing happened. This happened so long ago that I don't remember if I did anything that caused this. Well I was planning on reformatting a long time ago...so I might as well just reformat now to fix this problem
