hey guys,

so im running on a dell xps 420 most if not all drivers are updated.
the soundcard is definitely updated.
im using a razer carcharias and well, when i try looking around to see if the mic is recognized it doesnt seem to be so.
the audio works fine, im just trying to get the mic to work.
i have been to the control panel and when i go to hardware and sounds/recordings.. it doesn't say my mic is installed/recognized/all that.
i did use another mic/headset before which was a logitech something something, and the mic on that worked for a while but then after not using it for around 5 months and then trying to use it again, same problem occurred so yeah.
any help here plz?

also i am running on windows 7 which i recently updated onto the computer, and when i was using the mic (the logitech one) i was running on vista at the time.
