What I want to do is set up file sharing on both of my laptops so that they can share files both ways between them. I have in total 6 computers on my home network, and would like to limit the access to both to just the ones I want. I got about halfway before I hit an issue. My Windows 7 Ultimate is sharing both of its drives to my XP Home laptop, while being password protected for access from the other computers on my network. My XP Home Laptop cannot be shared without all the computers on my network having access too......

Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do to solve this problem?

Use a different operating system or encrypt (I suggest TrueCrypt) files you want to make available on the network.

I want to share the root of my drives, so truecrypt wont work, and I dont want to switch from XP..... Any other ideas? or maybe some modifications that can be made?

I have XP Pro that i can install on it, can you assure me that it will work how I want it to? I dont want to reformat my laptop again, just to find that it doesnt work......
