Printer won't connect via Ethernet or USB
I have a Dell AIO 968w.
I've tried connecting it via the USB that came with the printer and a new one incase the old one broke as everytime I connected it it gave the message. USB malfunctioned please replace device.
Later I connected it via Ethernet to my Linksys switch, but my computer wouldn't recognize the printer nor the IP connected. I've tried manually imputing the IP, but no luck.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Have you tried restarting the computer with the new printer attached, to see if it finds it on startup, when you say you can't find it via IP, do you mean searching via command or that you tried installing it via the ipaddress.
The ip of the printer is the same network as your pc?
Have you used a printer with this pc before?

It doesn't on startup.
My printer has a little configure network thing from the dell all in one center on my computer. From there it can't find any printers within the network or connected even though it's linked via ethernet. Yea, thats how I installed it using ethernet, but the printer was only on the network for a lucky split second. I can't find the printer at all now.
I've used this printer for around 2 years with my PC, it's only now that I'm getting connection issues.

So Is the printer having a problem staying on the network, or it is staying on the network and then the pc only sees it for a minute?, also Have you tried using the win 7 addprinter wizard? I am wondering if it is an issue with the printer, can you do a full reset on it?

It showed up for a split second and never shows up again.

Ie it's impossible to connect via anything. The printer's been reset already.
I've tried the win 7 wizard as well.
