Under what conditions? I mean, what are you doing when you get that?

Do you have any other error indications?

You have Comcast internet service? Were those DNS servers assigned by your ISP dynamically or did you specify them?

Don't know that it matters, but why are you also connected by wireless to some router?

WNDR3300 v1 ?
Terry,

I do have Comcast. I get this message every time I try to connect to ANY website. I have my modem plugged into this "wireless" router. (Netgear WNDR3300) . My computer shows that I have full bars. (full 5 bar signal strength)
So I'm really confused! My internet and modem are working fine, because when I plug the ethernet cable directly into my laptop, everything is cool. Do I need to buy a new "wireless router"???

Also, regarding your other question. I did not specify any DNS parameters. I barely figured out how to do a CMD prompt.

Do you remember to power cycle (unplug for 30 seconds) the modem when switching the device connected to it (necessary step!)? If so, try giving it five minutes when switching from computer to router.

Also, clone the computer's MAC address to the router's WAN, just in case Comcast is tracking the device connected to the modem (doubt it, but the cloning doesn't hurt anything).
