Issue with Ethernet connection and WiFi I consider myself generally pretty knowledgeable about computers in general but these issues have me stumped.
The first problem with my laptop (HP Pavilion DV6, Windows 7) Is that the physical wireless adapter button is broken. In the off position. My first question is, is there any way to turn it back on without the button?
My second problem is that, because I have no wireless internet, I attempted to use an internet cable to plug into the wall internet at home and at school. Guess what, total failure. It says it is connected locally, but no internet connection. I tested the cable on other comps, it is good. The wall internet works fine on other computers. Obviously the wireless internet isn't interfering because its stuck on disabled. What whats the problem?? |
