Can ping IP but not hostname.
I have Windows 7 x64 on my desktop, laptop, and HTPC. The past few months, everything worked fine. Today, I can ping my IP address but I cannot ping the host name on all 3.They also do not show anything in the network window, just the computer that I'm on. Please help.

Could be firewall issues or could be the router getting "confused" or going bad.

I would first shut down all the devices and unplug the router. Then plug in the router and boot the desktop and laptop. If those two are now playing nice together you can probably boot the HTPC and be OK again.

If they are not working right, can you ping each by IP address from the other?
