| Disable Wireless Network Connections 3 and 2. Run ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. Try pinging your gateway; setup IP and DNS address manually and try again. check if your router needs firmware upgrades. |

| if you've done your home work, Local Area Connections 2 and 3 would not be in results of ipconfig. You should disable them (right-click in Network Connections window and chose disable). If you are able to connect to the same router with Ethernet cable and browse internet, do so - connect with Ethernet cable and also connect to your wireless network, confirm that. Then go to command prompt and issue ipconfig /all. Compare results under Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection and Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection. Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS server addresses should be the same, last number in IPv4 Address shuold be different. If you get auto-configured address like 169.254.xxx.xxx, set it up manually 9along with subnet mask, gateway and dns addresses) for wireless adapter and try to ping your gateway and google.com. If you can connect wirelessly to othe networks, check setting on your router, or maybe it would be easier to reset it. Also go to manufacturesrs web page and see if any firmware updates are available. |
