so your saying that the host computer with the connection has no lag, but the other wireless computer networked to the host has? When I said whats your connection speed, i mean the speed of your wireless network. open the dos prompt and ping the other computer and see what the response time is.

wireless networks have a vary limited bandwidth, it may be this that is limiting the connection rather then the cable connection comming into you. it could also be the computer its self. try running the dirrect connection into the computer that was having the lag and see it if continues.

The bandwidth is still more than a 56K modem, shouldnt be lag in a game like starcraft... I think personally its the wireless factor thats why im after the ping value...

I have the same problem with my computer and I noticed it when I installed XP. I have a cable with wireless connection and my games worked fine when I was on ME. Any game I play now will run fine with a ping of about 50 and then after a minute I'll get about 5-10 seconds of harsh lag.
